I am 5weeks almost 6 weeks pregnant and experiencing period pains.
Is this normal?

Some cramping is normal. That said persistent, heavy or one sided cramping is not. Especially if you are experiencing one sided cramping contact your doctor as this could be a sign of ectopic pregnancy which can be serious. Hope all is well!
