Are Frequent UTI’s Normal?

I’m having trouble because every time I have sex I get a UTI. It’s always been like this since I was sexually active. I am nervous to go to a Dr. about it.
Does anyone have the same issue or know what it could be?

If youre getting a UTI every time you have sex that's not normal. It could easily be his hygiene either his actual penis isn't clean enough (some men don't know how to clean under the foreskin or around the head of their penis) or his oral hygiene as in he has plaque and hasn't brushed his teeth or tongue and that's going into your vagina/urethra

Are you cleaning and peeing after sex? Are you both practicing normal hygiene before sex? Are you using fragrant soaps? 
If you’re getting frequent UTI’s you must be seeing a doctor. Discuss it with your doctor.

Are you peeing immediately after? Could be a lot of reasons. I advice y’all to not use spit as lube and for him to have proper hygiene. Saying this from experience.

I have this same problem. I am 47 I’ve had it since 18 sexually active. I have a urologist I see yearly for check ups. I take one macrodantin (antibiotic) after intercourses and this has helped out tremendously. The doctor said this happens to a lot of women and sometimes they don’t know why. But it is helpful to pee after sex and clean up. Make sure you are both clean.

I know some women are just more prone to them. I’m 43 and have only ever had one in my entire life, and it was easily cleared by drinking pure cranberry juice for a few days. I have friends, and my mom, that get them all the time and absolutely need antibiotics. Peeing after sex is important if you are prone. I’d talk to your doctor too. My mom has a standing antibiotic prescription so that she doesn’t need to be seen every single time she gets one
