Depo VS Nexplanon

I had Nexplanon for 5 years and I liked it. It’s just that the first year was more of the struggle with constant bleeding and mood swings. I eventually got used to it. I didn’t experience weight gain from it. I think Nexplanon and Depo are pretty similar as they are both progestin but the Depo is a large amount of it at once. I know the big complaint I’ve heard about Depo is the weight gain. I am worried about that as I am trying to maintain my weight or even lose weight atm. But if I didn’t gain weight with Nexplanon would it be safe to say I wouldn’t really with Depo?? I don’t know if I want to do birth control pills..
