Said I’m over exaggerating
Last night my husband and I realized we have a rat or mouse in our oven. We had a box of fruit roll ups hidden in the oven and last night when going to get one I found one of the packs had been chewed up. I emptied the box out and found rat droppings. I couldn’t sleep. We decided to test it out by putting a piece of bread in the oven. Woke up this morning and it was still there. Made breakfast and went to lay in bed with my daughter. Came back into the kitchen about 20/30mins later and checked again and the bread had been bitten into. There’s not signs of it anywhere else just our oven. No other bread that’s sitting on the counter has been bitten into, no chip bags, nothing. I don’t even want to bake anything in there anymore. My husband told me he hates telling me things because I over exaggerate. Like how am I supposed to react to A RAT IN OUR HOME? My SIL leaves the sliding door open for her dog so we’re guessing that’s how it got in bc there’s no holes in the wall or anything. But we’re confused bc at some point the rat would have to pass the dog but he hasn’t killed it? And he for sure would since he hates ANY animal. (He’s not very friendly towards other animals but loves people). I was supposed to make Costco salmon today but feel queasy thinking about accidentally baking the rat in there with the salmon 🤢 I know I wouldn’t since he’d run as soon as he felt the heat but still. Am I overreacting?
