Have any of you lost it and just flipped out and yelled at your toddler over something little?

Yes. But i apologized and explained why i reacted so poorly. Im only human and would be lying if i said ive never lost my crap on one of my kids. Its about what you do about it that matters

It happens. Anyone who says it hasn't, is either lying or their time is coming. Ha. 
What's important is how you handle it after the fact. Talking to your toddler about your feelings, letting them know they aren't to blame, stating you reacted poorly, and apologizing. We're parents, but we are human. 
A freak out here and there won't traumatize your kiddo. Just be sure to handle it appropriately and try to take steps to prevent it in the future. I'm a therapist, so my kiddo has been equipped with vocabulary to discuss emotions for a long time, as we started early. So I can be pretty candid and honest with her. We talk a lot about various emotions and appropriate ways to handle them. 
It's incredibly humbling to apologize to a toddler, and sometimes it's not easy, but it's the right thing to do. 
Just be sure to leave out words like "but" and "you". Like, "I was feeling frustrated and shouldn't have yelled like that, BUT you were really misbehaving." That's the kind of backwards apology people who are crappy at apologies give. Ha. Instead, use it as a growing opportunity. Model with your child how to apologize and discuss emotions.

I have, I think there was one time when I even spanked her but right away I felt sooooooo bad because I know what it’s like to be abused as a child plus she was just soo little still, and still is but ever since then I just promised her and myself that I’d never NEVER! do that again. I haven’t, she’s 5 gonna be 6 soon and last time I put my hands on her was probably when she was 3. I do raise my voice when she refuses to listen but that’s really it. I love my daughter with all my heart and more, nothing can ever change that she’s the greatest person to ever come into my life, I wouldn’t trade her for the world/universe. Even when I get upset at her now I just rewind and realize she’s still little and young/small and has so much to learn so I can never stay upset with her.
