Measuring small at 8 weeks

I had my first maternity appointment and when she did the small ultrasound machine/Doppler she said baby was measuring small-maybe more like 7 weeks. She couldn’t detect a heartbeat on the Doppler which I don’t think is uncommon this early. They can’t get me in for an ultrasound until tomorrow. Just hoping others have been through this and baby good. Her words were, “am I concerned? A little.” But she said she could see a fetal pole and baby. Help!
