Long distance ?? HELP

I am currently 23 so is the young man I have been talking to for the past 2 weeks I’m in jersey he’s in NC .. we talk all night & day and we both mention how we would like to meet in person. .. there’s a concert in NC of an artist we both like next month …. I want to take the drive( he’s offered to get me a ticket down to see him ) and buy us tickets & have that be our “first date “

Is it crazy to take the trip to meet in person because we’ve only known each other for a short period of time?

Is it weird i want to pay for the “first date ?”

How do I ask if he would like to go?

I really like him and would like to see how the chemistry is in person as well I think it would be a cute date and show how much I am interested in him
