Am I the B**ch?

This may seem so trivial but I just want to get opinions from outsiders.

My husband has a truck that is kind of a hoopty. It’s a work truck but his only means of transportation. A few months ago, something in the back snapped or broke (I think he said leaf spring?) and he hasn’t gotten it fixed. He said it’s a simple one and he has someone to do it… he just hasn’t. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Anyway, I drive a fairly nice vehicle. Every time he drives it, I correct his driving. Before anyone shames me for that, let me give you examples. He’s ALWAYS driving on the little things that make noise when you go over the white line (even in his truck) he is always looking off in another direction and not paying attention. Just 2 days ago he was looking at a pink piece of paper on my center console and was heading straight for a guard rail. When I said HELLO! He jerked the wheel and got mad because I said something. He does this too when he’s not paying attention and someone is on the brakes. Several times I’ve been with him I feel like I’ve saved him from an accident.

With that being said, he asked me today to let him use my vehicle to run to the gas station. I told him no because I literally can’t trust him to be responsible enough. If he wrecks it, it’s my only means of transportation and honestly if he did, I couldn’t afford to fix it at the moment… even with insurance.

It’d be different if it were life or death, but his reasoning was “well I don’t want to drive mine because it’s really bad and I’m afraid it’s going to break completely” To which I responded… maybe you should worry about getting it fixed instead of using my car to run to the gas station for cigarettes. I’m so annoyed and he’s angry at me..which makes no sense. Am I the bitch?
