Saying things way too soon

I started speaking to this guy on a dating app, it’s been a week. We exchanged our ig’s and spoke to each other once on the phone. I felt the phone call was nice but didn’t flow. After thinking, I realized I’m not ready to date and deleted the apps and informed him as well that I’m not ready to speak to anyone or date. He said he wants to wait no matter how long it will take because he really loves my personality hence he doesn’t want to stop talking. I felt pressured so I said okay but told him not not to have any expectations from me and if he finds someone better than to proceed further with that person. Idk why but this scared me as I feel he’s saying certain things way too early on. We don’t know each other and it just threw me off when he said he would wait no matter how long it will take. He double texted today and I’ve been feeling overwhelmed. Should I just tell him I’m not interested at all or block him? I’m getting obsessive vibes from him.
