Working moms, what is your routine after work?

Question

I am just curious how other moms handle their off hours. Do you spend a lot of time playing with your kids after work every day? Of course there’s a lot more that needs done than that, so wondering how everyone else balances it.
Wondering how much time you dedicate solely to spending with your kids on work days! I know the answer prob really depends on kids age

My kids are 3 and under so there’s dinner then play time and then bedtime. Once they’re in bed then I do basic clean up and tidying. Both my kids are in bed by 8:30.

When I worked full time (currently job hunting) with my oldest, I came home and spent most of my time with him. I’d clean the kitchen while I cooked. Anything major was done on the weekends. 
When I had my second, I was working from home. I would do cleaning while she napped. My oldest was in daycare. Once he got home, I only cooked and cleaned the kitchen. Once she started daycare, I cleaned for 20 mins here and there throughout the work day, so that I could just spend time with my kids after. 
When I go back to work, I plan to hire someone to do my big chores once a week to give me more time with my kids.

We come home at 4:30, play for about a half hour, I cook and we eat together around 5:30, play some more from about 6-7. 7 is bath. Bedtime is 8. 8-11 is the adult’s time to get things done. I just try to keep up with the cleaning as things get messy.

Mine are 6 and 3. I get off work at 4:30 and usually take a shower. Then either I cook dinner (sometimes the kids help) or my husband cooks while I sit with the kids. Sometimes they want to snuggle with me, sometimes they want to play alone and I’ll do whatever nearby. We eat as a family and afterward usually go on a walk. Around 7:45 I start my nightly cleaning routine (sometimes the kids help) and at 8:30 we go up and read a couple books before bedtime.

I get off work at 5, pick my son up from daycare and come home and start dinner while he plays or watches a show and eats a snack. When it's nice out we take a walk after dinner or play outside, when it's cold out we play in the basement until 7:30 and then start bedtime routine. Bath, book, play in his room for a bit and he's in bed by 8/8:15. He's 3.

When I worked full time, I worked 3p-11p, so I was with my daughter from when she woke up until I dropped her at daycare at 2p. I’d do house stuff & school stuff when she was sleeping.

Most days there’s enough time for me to cook dinner while she watches a show. Then bath and bed. 
Twice a week she has a sports activity and we eat on the go so she can still get to bed on time. She’s 4 and a half.

My daughter is 7. Everyday we get home about 4:30 and I start dinner about 5. We eat about 6:15-6:30. She normally reads to me while I cook because that’s “homework” for a 2nd grader or sometimes I’ll let her play on her tablet for 30-40 minutes. She love math so we do some math equations on the white board, usually bath 3 times a week around 7:15 and bed by 8! She reads again at bedtime. Also, some nights we plan movies and eat dinner early to watch start it about 6:15(:  
9/10 she is asleep by 8:30 every night & irs been a great schedule(:

Mine are 3 and 6months. When I get off work I drive a hour to go pick them up from my moms house, head home which is 30 minutes away, I get them set up playing and I run around and do what I need to do to set up for the next day and then feed them, bath time, and I put my baby down for best first and once he’s good and asleep I go lay down with my 3 year old and we all go to bed then usually.

My kids are 13 and 10. I pick my 13 year old up around 3:30, we come home (little one is already home). They do chores and then go play or fill 
me in on their day while I handle my own stuff and throw dinner together. We all eat and then chill together in the family room for a bit until each of their bedtimes. I don’t play with them. 
This has been our basic routine since they were in preschool.
