Favorite Christmas traditions to do with your family?

All month Christmas things you do? I want to do more special things. We do the elf, pjs on Christmas eve, Christmas movies and we all sleep in the living room together on Christmas eve

We're very firm that we won't be doing elf on the shelf. We also don't do Santa. We decorate the house, go to Christmas light shows, drive around the town looking at Christmas lights, volunteer, give toys to families in need, donate (clothes, blankets, food) for those in need, bake cookies, bake pies, bake breads (like pumpkin, banana nut, zucchini, cinnamon raisin), watch ALL of our favorite Christmas movies, go to church, attend an annual play that is a whole town recrated to depict what it was like where Jesus was born, I make a rich hot chocolate, I make eggnog shakes, my MIL makes her family's German hot apple cider, we pray and read the bible, we open a gift Christmas eve and the rest the next day, Christmas eve we always read The Night Before Christmas, and my husband and I usually stay up late cuddling on the couch watching Christmas movies.

In the weeks before Christmas we do a few things… We go on the Santa Express train, we see a Christmas show/play (we are seeing Cirque du Soleil Holidaze this year. Next year I want to see the Nutcracker or Elf), and we go see a house that’s all done up in lights that plays to Christmas music on its own radio station. Sometimes we do a drive thru light display in my town.

Answer

We go to The Pottery Place usually the week before Christmas and paint something together.
