I think my biggest pet peeve with people who teach their children about santa is when they get their kids something really exciting like a trampoline or a trip to Disney or something else that other families might not be able to afford, and then they tell their kids that Santa got it for them.

It’s not even just about the fact that they go to school and tell their friends what they got and then their friends feel sad because they only got a book from santa or maybe a doll or something

But it’s also like… why would you not take credit for getting your kid those things? Like be proud and tell your kids you did that for them! Santa shouldn’t be used as this guy that gets only certain people and families giant gifts and gets other children very small gifts

EDIT: some of you are missing the point. I’m not at all saying you can’t get your kids expensive things that other families can’t afford. I would never tell you what to buy for you children!!…. What I am saying is that YOU should take the credit for those things!!
