TMI but curious

Does anyone also get constipated during their period? Especially after your period is over?

I've never had this issue but during then after bowel movements have been strange. I would strain but something would come out. Now my period is back this week and now I can hardly get anything out. Thinking about taking a laxative to help but I'm nervous if it could do more damage. I'm gonna try and contact my doctor about it.

Just wanted to know if this is common and should I be worried about this?
