Do you bathe with your kid(s)

Question

To make a long story short - I’m home alone with my kids while I have to get ready for work and it’s just easier on me and I prefer it over the alternative - leaving them unsupervised. They share a room, so occasionally I will separate them, one goes to their room, the other stays downstairs - so I can shower alone, but I don’t do this often because I’m paranoid that it’ll be just my luck that on the one occasion I do, they get into something and make a disastrous mess or worse - they’ll get hurt. My son just turned 4 this month and my daughter is 1.5 for context. 
I’ll be honest, it’s one of these parenting things that I feel vulnerable admitting because I know some people will have strong opinions against it - but I never really thought much of it until I watched a tiktok video of a mom discussing this topic and it got me questioning if I’m a bad mom for this?

I usually bathe my kids before their bedtime, and either shower after they're asleep or when my husband is home to watch them.

Yes! My son is 6 and his dads and I still shower with him. Sometimes he showers or takes a bath by himself. Typically baths with supervision.

No , you’re not a bad mom for this. I stopped when my first son was about 5 & I plan on doing it with my babies, I’m 26 weeks pregnant & I also have a 10 month old. I didn’t start until my son was over 1 & could stand & walk on his own; but it was SUPER convenient for me. It definitely does not make you a bad parent. It’s very completely normal.

Yes almost always. I have a bad back I don’t like to sit on the floor and give him a bath I’d rather just take him in the shower with us.

Honey most mom's do bathe and shower with their littles. It is TOTALLY normal. Obviously there comes a time where children need to bathe separately from their mother when they are older but there's absolutely nothing wrong with having your little kid in the shower with you.

Most of the time i shower while my husband gives the kids a bath but sometimes my 3 yo daughter will ask to shower with me instead and I usually allow it, and sometimes it is getting late and if my daughter is already in bed I will take my 4 mo son in the shower with me and wash him then hand him off to my husband to get him dressed while I wash myself. On the rare occasion my husband isn’t home in the evening they either skip their bath that night and I shower after they are in bed or he gets home. But I don’t think having them shower is wrong, or making sure they are somewhere safe and they are occupied while you jump in and take a quick shower by yourself.
