Baby is getting a little rash from helmet

My daughter just recently started wearing a helmet. She's starting to get a little bit of a rash on the sides of her face and forehead area. She goes back in a week to get checked out for progress. I dont think the helmet is too tight i just think she gets hot underneath and sweats a little causing like an almost heat rash. She's a redhead with very sensitive skin. She can only have 1 hour a break from it a day. I've been cleaning her helmet out properly 2x a day as recommended and washing her face off. I was putting aquaphor on it but I dont think it's helping. Any suggestions on what I could put on it that might help?
