It can work. But can it work well enough to withstand your mistrust when he is coming back home late from work? When he is distant and you don't know why, or when you find an innocent text from his female friend? You can try and make it work, but you will always wonder if he is cheating on you again.

He’s guilty not of cheating. He knew what he was doing he knew what he was risking. It was a choice. You don’t slip and fall into a vagina. He’s guilty and feels bad because you found out. He didn’t feel guilty doing. He’s guilty because you ruined his fun. He was having his cake and eating it too. Once trust is broken it’s like a piece of paper that has been crumbled in the palm of your hand. The lines of deception will always be there in the back of your mind. Is he working late. Is he saving women’s numbers as men’s name. Is he really talking to who he says he is. I deal with divorce and custody and child support. I can tell you story after story. Man lived with a woman had kids he was sleeping with the downstairs neighbor. Took everything in me for her not to drive her car into their apartment. Long distance truck drivers that have a family in another state and one in their home state. You will feel like you are walking on eggshells in your own body wanting to check his phone over thinking everything he says. And when he does it again and he will. Taking back a cheater tells him that not only is the behavior acceptable but you will tolerate it when he does it again. They get sneakier at hiding it. He’s great for a while and then right back to it. Had another guy he cheated 4 years with a woman. When things didn’t work out with the other woman she wrote a letter to the wife and told her everything. She stayed. She said if you cheat again I’m divorcing you. 4 years later he’s cheating again. Even with gps on his car and cameras at the house etc. he’s not stupid he does it at work or near it. He does it in her car or leaves his car at work and goes to her place etc. they get sneakier. And eventually it catches up to them.

Yes, it can. I guess it depends also if you can forgive and move past it. I personally would never give someone another chance though because I think it’s a waste of time.

Yes it can. With work. It’s not easy but it can work. Everyone tells you to move on or do this and that but truthfully you have to do what feels right to you.

Theoretically anything is possible, but 98% of the time, no it will eventually creep back into the relationship. 
When trust is broken, even when rebuilt, it is extremely fragile, and repeated shattered trust really can’t be rebuilt. 
Any suspicious behavior of SO’s part will ALWAYS make you think they are cheating again. SO may begin to resent the suspicions if they truly have changed, and that defensiveness will make you think they must be doing something wrong again.

People always ask this question on here. Surely anything is possible. But the likelihood of things working after cheating is slim. It’s SO HARD to rebuild trust in someone who has betrayed your trust. It’s hard not to feel resentment.. & it’s very hard to heal from, especially when you’re dealing with all the other factors. I’ve tried it. The truth is the relationship went downhill fast, no matter how open to forgiveness I was. 🤷🏻‍♀️ it takes a lot of work & sure it’s possible, but I’m not sure it’s worth it. & In the end if you put in all the work & effort to fix the relationship & find out he just got better at hiding his infidelity , the devastation just gets worst. & then you lose the ability to trust yourself. It should be a final straw for anyone. Once someone cheats, they break your trust & that should be that. You deserve better & you are worth more than a relationship with someone who does that to you. No matter how much you may love them.
