Is anyone on levothyroxine?

I started it at 50 because I was told my thyroid wasn’t working like it should. I got super grumpy and had to cut it back to 25 because I got super grumpy and irritable. I felt fine at first but a week or 2 later I’m having leg cramps, anxiety and weird chest feelings. Like it needs stretched.

I took generic levo but switched to name brand synthroid. Something with the fillers in the levo that didn’t sit right with me. I always felt off. Currently sitting at 112mcg of synthroid and feel great

I took this (Synthroid) for about a year and was at 0.25mg once a day and had no side effects. Definitely reach out to discuss with your doctor.

I take levothyroxine, the brand name formula Synthroid. Did your doctor change the dose when you were experiencing side effects? You should not change your dose without doctor approval. You might need some magnesium to help with your muscle cramps and your anxiety and irritability can be attributed to something else. I take 100mcg and at one time I took 112mcg. The doctor usually starts you on a dose and then retests you every few months and makes adjustments to your medication until the right dose age is achieved with optimal lab results. I’ve been hypothyroid for many many years. I’m mostly well medicated but there has been times we’re I wasn’t take care of myself properly and my untreated thyroid disease caused other issues. Follow up with your doctor regarding any symptoms your having while treating your thyroid disease.
