What Time Do You Mamas Get Up In The Morning 🙂

Question

I have a toddler who just turned 4 years old and a baby who just turned 1. I’ve been getting up at 6am to have some quiet time to myself while I get myself ready for the day. I want to take care of my cat, make myself coffee, prepare my toddler’s schoolwork for the day and clean up a bit before the kids wake up. Lately, my toddler been getting up at 6:30am which is fine. Figured I’ll just get up a little earlier like 5am or 5:30am so I can have at least an hour to get ready. What’s your morning schedule like and what time do you mamas wake up?

My 3 year old wakes up at 7. We have a time to rise clock set for 7am so, even when she wakes up early, she knows to stay in her room and look at books quietly until the light turns green. On weekdays, I set my alarm for 6:45 just so I can get up and get ready before I get her (I’m low maintenance so 15 is all I need 😂). On weekends, I stay in bed until she wakes me up. We put her to bed by 7/7:30 at night so we get our own time in the evenings after she’s in bed instead of in the morning.

I wake up 25 minutes before we have to leave 😂 I pack lunches and get everything set out for myself the night before so I literally just have to get my son and myself dressed and grab the lunch box and walk out the door. I have my coffee at my desk when I start work. My son wakes up at unpredictable times, but if it’s way before my alarm we are 100% both going back to sleep in my bed.

I have a 2yo who wakes up at 7am, and a 3mo. Because I never know what time she’s going to wake for her night feed (it’s usually some time between 2am and 5am) I don’t really have a set time that I wake up. If she wakes to feed at 2am, she’ll wake again at 6am and I’ll feed her and then get up for the day. If she doesn’t wake until 5am then I might start my day then or I might try to get a little more sleep and get up at 7 when my toddler gets up.
We do most of our getting ready in the evening after the kids go to bed (set up the coffee for the next day, do breakfast/lunch prep, get any activities ready for the next day, pack bags for outings etc) so in the morning I can just pretty much roll out of bed, have my coffee, and chill while my toddler has breakfast.

My daughter sleeps horribly (she’s 18 months) and my son who is almost 5 sleeps pretty well now but he never used to. My daughter wakes between 5-6am and I can’t bear to up before then when I’ve already only gotten 3 hours of sleep lol. 
I love that you’re able to have that time for yourself. I’m looking forward to the day I can do that too!! If you’re not too exhausted by it, definitely get up earlier!

I wake up at 7 with my kids on school days. They're 8,6,4&2. Unless the youngest wakes me up sooner. On weekends it varies but usually around 7:30 I'm awake. I've planned on waking before the kids to enjoy that little quiet time, but the snooze button gets me every time lol

My kids are 12, 8, 6 & 2. On school days I get up at 7 to get them off to school. They're out the door by 7:23. On weekends I get up at 8-8:30. Depends on when my youngest wakes up.

I am the type of mom who would rather wake up a little later and rush, than wake up early lol. So I typically wake up when my kids do which is usually 7-730. I usually do preparations and cleaning during the evening time, or after they go to bed.

10:00 AM with a 2.5 year old and 1.5 year old. They go to bed at 8:30 pm and take a 1-3 hour nap each day.

I work full time and my husband is a full time stay at home dad. He’s lately been getting up at 4am cause that’s when my toddler wakes up. I get up at 630, get ready for work and by the time I leave the two of them are taking a morning snooze. If my daughter sleeps in so does my husband.
