We didn't get invited because I breastfeed

We have family that lives 4.5 hours away and they come down to visit every so often and when they do we all get together. Well I saw on Facebook they were down and posted pictures of them with everyone so I mentioned his brother was down why did he tell me and he didn't know so he sent them a text and I don't ever look at his phone but I was excited to see if they were still here to visit with and to see the kid so I looked and I regret it. It said "well with Chelsea breastfeeding we thought it would be best not to bother you guys since there isn't a place for her to go to feed the baby" I put the message back on unread and asked my husband a few minutes later if he had messaged back and he said "oh one of the kids have a cold. I think we should skip and we will see them next time" I appreciate he is shielding me so I won't feel hurt but I hate that we didn't get invited because of me.
