How much to spend on a wedding?

My wedding is looking to be around atleast 15k total, all inclusive venue around $3000 for 90-100 people (at most probably won’t even be that many) obviously need add ons and other things as well. I was telling my co-worker how much my wedding is going to end up being and she called me I quote “you’re such a cheap ass!”

Like wait wtf???? I literally would LOVE to have the wedding of my dreams at a venue that costs 12k just for the f-ing venue fee. But I cannot afford that and also afford my home and other bills. We are very happy where we are having our wedding but now I’m worried others will see me as being “cheap” when I’m literally just working with my budget. I don’t have people giving me money or paying for this. This is all out of pocket.

Now I’m just worried and I can’t get the “cheap ass” comment out of my head I just want to cry 🥺😞
