Is it too soon to go to his house?

I just got back in the dating scene after a 4+ year relationship and don’t know what I’m doing lol. 
I recently downloaded a dating app and met this man. The first chat conversation we had he quickly invited me to dinner. I felt it was very fast but decided to give it a try. I had a good time but I still don’t know how I feel about him. After the date, we exchanged one or two text & then didn’t contact each other for a week. He reached out today and invited me to his house for a pool/sun/ bbq, just us.  
My preoccupations: 
1. IMO his home would be a very sacred place to take a person after just one date and a few text (RED FLAG????) 
2. His house = his territory, if I feel uncomfortable I’ll be alone. 
3. How long will this date be? BBQ + pool/sunbathing?! 
Are this all valid or am I overthinking???

I think you're valid. Tell him it sounds nice but that you need a little more time spent on 'neutral ground' before you're ready to spend time at his place.

If you’re not comfortable with the idea DON’T GO! Trust your gut. If it feels too soon then it is.

Some prefer being home to being out. It's not necessarily a red flag. Perhaps he knows he'll be able to better present himself at home rather than out. Could be due to sound sensitivity or social anxiety or just feeling more comfortable at home.
However I do understand you not feeling comfortable with it. Going home to someone else feels like a big deal and it can also feel unsafe if you don't feel like you know the person yet.
But my bet would be he just thought it would be a nice kind of date.
If you don't feel comfortable doing it however, it's okay to say no 😊

I did online dating, thats how I met my husband. I wouldnt go to his house after just meeting him once. Especially he kinda went MIA for a week which suggests he may not be serious. That may be a way to try to lead to a hook up. Or, it could be innocent and he just thought a bbq sounds like fun and doesnt think about safety/modesty cuz hes a guy. If you like him, say youd like to see him again but youd be more comfortable waiting a bit before hanging out at each other's places. If hes a good guy, he will understand and respect that and will keep asking you out. If he disappears,you know it was just a booty call.

I wouldn’t go. One date isn’t enough for me to feel comfortable enough being in his house alone with him. It’d be different if we had a history , similar friends etc or if he was also inviting other people.
