I’m a mother of 4 little ones (7 years old, 5years old, 2 years old and 3 months old). My husband currently works M-F 7a-3pm. I’ve worked part time (24hrs a week) for the last 7 years. Now that our family is complete and we’re done having babies (husband had a vasectomy) I would like to work more. The increased cost of living has also tightened our budget.If I selected one of the weekend positions I would only work 36 hrs but receive compensation for 40 hrs each week. Also, due to both of our amazing parents childcare won’t be an issue.

I work retail so I have to work most weekends just not quite those crazy hours and not that pay (although I'm base + commission sales so I do pretty well) and let me tell you I wish I had a M-F 9-5 job. My children are 6, 4.5 and 15 months during the school year especially I feel like I never see my oldest and my 2nd will be in pre k this fall so I'll be in the same boat for her as well come August. My husband works M-F 7-3 and I don't feel like we see each other enough either. I miss out on so many family events such as birthday parties, graduation parties, family reunions and just family time and taking small day trips with everyone.

I feel like you would get more time with Fri-Sun 3pm-3am. You get home around 4am sleep till maybe 10 or 11? Gives you some time to relax till your next shift and on the weekdays you can spend time with your family.
