Fear of being dumped lol

I’ve been talking about school for a long time off & on with my boyfriend of 2 years. I recently found out that I’d only need 4 months to finish off my 1 year program starting in January.

I’ve been holding off on school for him, because he wants us to build a future together. (We’re long distance atm). But so far it hasn’t been looking clear about us.. & I have 2 kids whom I need to build a career & a future for too.

I fear about telling him that I was inquiring about my program because then he’d see it as I’m making plans without him, or as he likes to say “doing you” lol. I wanted to ask him to join me for 4 months in the city while I attend school. I’ve already put my son on a daycare waitlist a month or 2 ago.

* by not looking clear I mean, where we will live. When we will move & all this. He does contract work in his hometown, but they want to bring him on as an employee. Housing in his town is limited, I don’t think he’d move to my town because his work has a lot of benefits that I don’t see him giving up & I won’t ask him to.
