When should I get a breast pump through insurance?

I'm pregnant with my first, so I have no clue what that process looks like and when to start.

Who do we contact to get the breast pump through insurance ? And are there any recommendations for brands ?

I used the Aeroflow website and they contacted my insurance for me and told me which pumps I was eligible for. I remember with my first and second there were restrictions on how soon it would arrive, but I think you can essentially order whenever you want. I think I got mine after 28 weeks for both.

Depends on the insurance. With my first, my insurance allowed me to get it at any point in pregnancy. With my second and third, I had a different insurance that allowed me to order it at any time, but I couldn’t pick it up until third trimester.
