Advise me on what to do?

I’ve always wanted kids close in age, or at least 2 kids. I had my first baby feb 2023. I tried to have a conversation about having another baby in a year or 2. My fiancé told me that he was going to get a vasectomy but this was never anything we planned for. Should I stick to my opinion or let him do what he wants? Advise please

Well, it’s not a matter of letting him. He’s got the right to what he wants w his body. It’s up to you to decide if it’s a dealbreaker.

If he was on this app I would tell him that 6 months pp is not the time to decide on permanent birth control imo especially if he previously wanted more than 1. I was at my wit's end at that point and thought I would never have more kids, it took me awhile to shake that feeling and be ready for another. Once baby was sleeping through the night and able to feed themselves, I felt much more settled.  Ultimately it's up to him, but maybe agree to another method for 6-12 months and then revisit the topic.

You have to decide if that’s a dealbreaker. You can have more kids with someone else or do it alone (sperm donor).

The only thing you get to decide here is whether or not you stay with him. You want more kids and he wants a vasectomy, those are opposing goals.

You can stick to your opinion but ultimately if he gets a vasectomy it’s out of your hands. 
Need to have a conversation and actually discuss what you you both want… maybe opt for other birth control in the meantime as first baby is still fresh and give him time to think and make sure he’s 100%

You can have your opinion & he can still do whatever he wants with his body. If he doesn’t want another kid then he doesn’t want another kid. You have to decide if it’s a dealbreaker for you or not.
