My husband is mad I didn't defend him against my daughter's boyfriends mother

My daughter's boyfriend's mother came to our door to speak to my husband. I could hear the conversation but I stayed out of it. What happened was my husband had said something to our daughter's boyfriend like "If you break her heart I have a gun and a bullet with your name on it." I was not there when this was said or I would have said something. I've always found people who do that toxic. Yes I'm saying my husband was being toxic. Threatening kids with weapons is so... Stupid. People talk so much about toxic boy moms and monster mother in laws. It's seen as horrible for a mother in law to do something like body shame her daughter in law which it is but dad's can threaten little boys with guns and that's normalized for some reason. You also just have no idea what someone has been through. You may take It's as my being serious but they may not. It's probably why he did it when I wasn't around because he knows I don't agree with it. And this mom didn't agree with it. Long story short she told my husband to never in his life ever threaten her 15 year old again. She said she loves our daughter but she won't tolerate. My husband is staring at me from the kitchen and I don't say shit. She also asked how he would feel is she threatened our daughter and stuff like that. Anyway she left and he asked why I just stood there while that lady ripped into him. I said "You were big and bad enough to say it. Stand by what you said when their mom confronts you." Then he felt the need to call me a cunt. He knows I don't agree with threatening minors so why would he expect me to come Dave him when the mom comes to our door. You said it, you fucking deal with it.
