Is my husband being a jerk for not getting an HIV test
My husband is taking classes to be a phlebotomist. One of his classmates messaged him to tell him that when she was cleaning up the area after sticking him she picked up a cotton ball with blood on it and she had a cut. She said it's mostly healed but to be safe asked if he had anything. He said no. She said ok. Then she messaged back saying she would feel more comfortable if he got tested for HIV. And my husband ignored her. My husband said if it was a situation where she actually stuck herself with his needle he would to ease her mind but he's not doing that hassle for a cotton ball. I said she may just have anxiety and need reassurance. He said "If she's that paranoid to the point she's freaking out over a cotton ball maybe phlebotomy isn't the right career choice for her." If it were me I would have just done it to ease her mind but my husband said hes not doing all that just because she touched a cotton ball. Would you say he's being a jerk?
