Does this seem shady?

I’ve been friends with benefits with this guy a year and some change. Everyone says he’s manipulative, controlling, and emotionally abusive but I can’t really tell because I’m really easily swayed.

Anyways. Today we had sex. I took a shower maybe like an hour before, didn’t do anything too crazy in between. Later on, he told me that he wants me to be really freshly showered. He said maybe it was just his bed then and said he restricted going down on me because it smelled like sweat. So I assumed he meant my vagina smelled off. Which okay, I guess it happens. I was sick recently too so I thought maybe that caused it, idk. But then he started asking about deodorants. Which I found odd because I don’t feel like I’m short enough or that it was long enough to where my armpit odor would be an issue. But I went with it and said I would switch body wash and deodorant and do it right before I leave so that it’s better. But instead he’s insistent that I bring it to his house and “get used to showering at his house”.

Like why do I have to “get used to it” when I could shower at home and it be the same thing? I just feel like something seems very weird?
