When could you finally put baby down for sleep??

I have a 3 week old who sleeps best in arms. I put her down in her bassinet and it’s anyone’s guess when she’ll wake but it’s usually within 5 to 30 minutes. I’m not remembering when I was able to put my first born down. She would ONLY sleep in arms. And then she was a contact sleeper. I’m hoping this baby will be different. When does it get easier?? When we’re you able to put your baby down to sleep in the crib or bassinet successfully?? She doesn’t like to be swaddled and she doesn’t really like pacifiers. She can’t hold them in.
