i almost feel no feelings towards him and i want to leave but physically can’t. it’s only been a year and i can’t live the rest of my life with the way he treats me and i don’t really feel anything towards him anymore except annoyance.

Leave before one year becomes 4 and 4 becomes 8.. I deeply believe the longer we stay in unhappy relationships it gets harder to leave. I’ve been with my partner for 5 going on 6 years and I love him and I know he loves me but some of my cons about him haven’t changed at all since year one and that worries me a lot! I look back and wish I put my foot down many years ago

My soon to be ex husband checked out months before we decided to get a divorce. I had just started my second round of IVF when I realized the marriage was not going to work. Divorce is hard. I cannot lie. The five stages of grief are not linear. I have only made it this far because of the support from family and friends. After months of going back and forth, a full day of mediation, we reached a settlement agreement. Yes, it has been emotional. Yes, it cost money. 
I am 42. No children. And I have never lived alone in my entire life. I have been scared. But I had to longer in the eye and take it one step at a time. Today, I can honestly say, I am stronger than I thought. And I don’t know what the future holds but I am certain this was the right choice for me to have a chance at happiness.

2018 meet a man and wet hit it off great. By 2019 we were falling apart and I was trying to make it work when he cheated and I was done. May 2019 we took the kids to the lake as one last family outing. A month later I found out I was pregnant. So we tried to make it work. By the end of my pregnancy I had checked out mentally and emotionally and was just going thru the motions by the time my daughter was born. When she was 2 months old I left. Didn’t look back. The way he screamed at her because she was crying, that was it. I made an a plan and just did it. Up rooted my whole life and left. If you wanna leave don’t let anyone talk you out of it. They are not living through what you are going thru. You deserve to be at peace, to be happy, to feel safe. I’ll be praying for you.

Phs girl I left SOON AS i emotionally and mentally checked out. Well it took me almost a week after but I could’ve done it sooner (like that very day I checked out) to save me ALOT. 
It was one night where I was in physical pain over our relationship actually (not physically abusive he never put his hands on me) which resulted in me ending the relationship completely. 
I couldn’t sleep so bad over it as I was in physical pain meaning my head was hurting so so bad bc I was doing too much intentional thinking and UNintentional thinking . 
I was OVER IT. I even made a list that said “option A” & “option B” on if I stayed with him or if I let go and why and what would or wouldn’t continue to happen. 
My head hurted so much more after that and I couldn’t sleep even more. I cried from different exhaustion. Psh giiiirll I got up so fast said fk this ish , made a phone call , said what I said , wished him the best , went to sleep with the deepest breath relief and woke up just fine. Felt better than I did all that time beforehand. 
Didn’t talk to him for 2 weeks after that (and felt AMAZING) just for him to be a little cry baby bish like excuse me 🤚🏼 no sir 🤚🏼 you didn’t give af then when I was feeling how I was .. and now you feeling some type of way and can’t live without me and doing all this. Boy fk you 🤚🏼you’re toxic and you’re a narcissist thank you for sharing some good times with me but we will never get back together I’ve tried several times just for them all to end up the same way over and over. I took so much and was silent with so much. But no. That’s what we can’t do ladies. Love can’t have us bound ! Know your worth ! Love yourself ! Don’t tolerate ANYTHING bc of LOVE. 
If I were you .. I’d Leave before the new year starts ! Fk all that don’t bring that negativity into the fresh start of a brand new year ! Of a brand new 365 days ! 
End it today , celebrate the ending of this year and the beginning of a new year , go to bed , wake up in 2024 without his negative ash and don’t think about brining up him or his energy. You said (will say) your peace now he can go do him and you go do you. A new year for you to focus on yourself and him on himself.
