I’m an anxious and over thinker person, but him just directly asking for my number the way he did seem too direct, if that makes sense?? He’s 33 and his form of texting “ur” irks me. We’ve been chatting for over a week now on a dating app.

That’s pretty typical on dating apps, a lot of guys seem to prefer just texting because they say they don’t always get the notifications from the app when they get a message (or some other reason, that’s the one I got the most). Nothing wrong with you telling him no if you would prefer to stay on the app though.

But if this is a problem for you, you are able to control the conversation, and maybe be curious why he’s direct instead of assuming the worst. “You’re quick, I prefer you give me yours,- how about we text through this app a bit longer,- you have to earn it,- are you going to call me already?-“
You can spin this any way without being a pain in the ass, but with a bit of tact
