Help -8 months old

This is one of the most difficult months for my 8 month old. He wakes up every 3 hours at night and just cries. He used to be able to go longer hours without feedings and now he just wakes up and doesnt wanna go back to sleep after the feed even. Constantly crying if i just turn my back to him due to separation anxiety. The solids are not like the videos i see online on socials about babies eating with their hands with a full appetite, we struggle a lot sometimesand he hates textures,.and im constantly wondering what im doing wrong. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
