Moved 1300 miles away to start fresh

I met a guy who is very different from what I’m used to I can be myself we have a lot in common we’ve been seeing each other for going on a few weeks my question is has anybody been in a relationship with someone that is the male/female opposite of themselves and it end up working out after going through bad relationships and moving over half the country away? It’s moving super fast and it seems too good to be true. Forgot to add I didn’t move for him I moved with family after my previous move on my own didn’t work it’s all new to me I don’t have any friends except my partner in this state
