Someone help lol

How would you set this up to fit an adult and a child in the same bedroom?

I’m a single mom now and must fit myself and my 7 year old daughter in the same room because it’s all I can afford

Is 12 x 12 even big enough for two beds? (I have a full sized bed but I’ll sell it and get a twin if i have to lol or we could do bunk beds. 🤣) or even maybe I just get a daybed so like it pulls out into two beds since she’s only with me half the week (we do 50/50) but then I’d feel bad she doesn’t even have her “own” bed. I also thought about putting her bed in the closet if it’ll fit and just removing the door but that seems… wrong

Would it be easier to just have me sleep in the living room?

I don’t even know where I’ll put our clothes or our dressers. there’s only one closet in the entire apartment, not even a linen closet or anything. I don’t know if this is even going to be possible.

I live in San Diego, the rent is insane here. Please help 🥲 (wish we could move but custody arrangements make it impossible!!!)

Also did anyone have to share a room with their mom growing up and did it effect you negatively? She is getting older and I’m worried she’ll be embarrassed, or want more privacy. I feel like a failure but rent has gotten so high in the last few years I don’t know how any single parents out there are surviving.
