What would you do?

I know that people are not entitled to sharing their business with friends but why do I feel so disappointed. Back story; my close friend didn’t tell me that she was pregnant, I just found out on social media. I was taken aback but my husband explained that it was probably just an oversight so I overlooked it and I was incredibly supportive of her during the pregnancy. Now, she gave birth to her baby, and again I didn’t know until last week when she sent me a text message inviting me to her other child’s birthday party and at the end of the text message, she said “and oh I gave birth two weeks ago”. This isn’t just an acquaintance, this is my friend, someone who I took as a close friend but I guess I wasn’t worthy of being part of the people that she shared her good news with. Anyways, I congratulated her but I don’t think I would be attending the birthday party as invited.

If you were me, would you attend? How would you feel if your friend treats you like this?
