2 month old Blood test - Polychromatophilia

My son got blood work done because he had a fever. It ended up being Covid (everything is fine) but the blood work showed Polychromatophilia, which is an overproduction of red blood cells. I know newborns blood work can be all over the place, but is this normal? His pediatrician did not mention it to me, I had to look at the results myself so I’m thinking it’s fine, but wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this.
