Feeding Baby
Hey yall. My husband is absolutely driving me crazy. It is ridiculous. He refuses to do the littlest things and I have no idea why.
Literally about an hour, our baby (5 months old) woke up to eat and get changed. As soon as he woke up, I asked my husband to make a bottle for him while I breast feed. He says no why can’t you do it? I then said I’m literally breast feeding him, can you please go do it? This went on for like 2 minutes. He finally gets up to make his bottle. Come back to the room with an ice cold bottle and is like here. I said can you please put it in the warmer to warm and when it’s done I’ll go get it. He’s like no here… I’m like can you please? It’s 2 in the morning I don’t want to give him a cold bottle. He’s like it’s summer time he’s fine. I’m like in this house it’s 65-70 degrees and I breast feed him, and that milk is warm so I would like his bottled milk to be warm as well, it’ll help him sleep the rest of the night. This conversation turns into a huge argument because he refuses to go walk a couple feet to push a button and warm up the bottle. And proceeds to say. That’s not how I do things. He doesn’t need a warm bottle.
Am I wrong to be upset about this? Every parenting decision I make, he doesn’t want any part of it. It’s so frustrating.
And before anyone asks. Yes. He works. We both do. I’m a nurse and he is a mechanic. I work at 8 in the morning till 6 pm. Come home and relief my mom with our baby. I play with him, bathe him and then put him to bed around 9-10 pm. My husband works from 1-10:30 pm. He comes home and is able to go straight to sleep. I never ask him to do changes, nor feed the baby in the middle of the night. I only ever ask to make a bottle. And everytime I do. It’s an argument. I’m so sick of it. He would never fed our other son cold food ( my step son and 10 years old) so why would he feed our 5 month old cold food? He then goes “do you drink hot water in the summer?” Like it’s the same thing for a baby….
There are plenty of other things that happen on a daily. But this honestly just pissed me tf off…. Am I wrong?
