For customer service workers. What is the dumbest reason someone has ever asked to speak to the manager

I work at a small family owned restaurant. The owners only allow 2 different kinds of discounts. Military discounts and TEACHER discounts. One of the owners used to be a teacher and he believes that more places should offer discounts for teachers because of how much they do. A police officer asked about our discounts and I explained we don't have discounts for police officers. Just military and teachers. He said he's never been to a place that gave teachers discounts over police officers. I said I was sorry. I don't make the rules. He got mad and demanded to speak to the manager so I got the manager and he yelled at our manager.... I hate it here
