Am I being unreasonable?

If you’re a SAHM, does your husband help out around the house or does he only go to work. My husband only goes to work and takes out the trash. Every single thing else around the house I am responsible for, including our children.

I ask because on Monday I went shopping for thanksgiving dinner and I needed to sit in the car for a minute because I was exhausted. My husband carried the groceries into the house ( grocery shopping, carrying everything in and putting it away is my job 99% of the time), I sat in the car until he came to retrieve me because our daughter needed a bath as she got into glue. I went inside and he told me he would put the groceries away but he shouldn’t have to do that because he has to go to work in a few hours (it was 10am and he worked 3pm-7pm) and when he gets home he is going to allow me a break (he in fact did not).

Today, I cooked thanksgiving dinner a day early because he will work on thanksgiving day. I got up at 8 am, it’s his day off so I let him sleep in. Our kids wanted breakfast so I cooked a huge breakfast while also starting thanksgiving dinner. I was on my feet from 9am until 6pm. I cooked, cleaned the dishes from cooking and fed our children. I was in pain but still fed the dogs and cleaned the entire kitchen.

He told me that he works and what I do is not work. He did take our daughter to practice today for the first time in months and he only did that so I could be available to cook dinner a day earlier to accommodate him. I do feel this is unfair but he argues that it’s fair since I don’t work. I’m very grateful for him working and providing for our family but it’s a lot on me doing every single thing else, especially since we have developmentally disabled children who require a lot of care (not complaining).

I don’t have the energy to argue about this with him anymore and I honestly don’t know what’s fair or unfair anymore.
