I don't think there is a set amount that he should text you if you don't live together. I think that if you have needs in the relationship that require more communication, then tell him that you need that in order to feel loved. I think it's a balance between what you need and what he needs. Ask him what he needs as far as communication. If he needs a day in between communication and that kind of space makes him feel loved, you should be willing to give that to him as well. A relationship is about meeting each other halfway sometimes. if you love each other and you want each other to feel loved, then the two of you should be willing to work on this together. ￼
