Did I fuck it up

Guys I think I messed stuff up. I (23F) started a new job about 5 months ago. There was a super cute guy that instantly caught my attention however I found out he was 20 and it threw me off because I’ve never dated a guy younger than me. I never really even gave him the time of day but on occasion he would come over and correct some mistakes I would make and it made me slightly dislike him because he would talk in a very authority like tone and he was not my manager. One of his work friends came over and told me he wanted my social media and I never ended up giving it because of the age difference. Fast forward to now (5 months later) I’m not sure what’s changed but I started looking forward to going to work and seeing him, we’ve become closer at work and sometimes have small talk, I also noticed he would go out of his way to come to my department to see me. He finally got the courage to give me his insta and we started talking through dm instantly (him messaging me first) things got pretty flirtatious but not inappropriate and I did tell him I was interested in him but hesitant because of the age. He is very mature for his age and he does have a great position at our job and he’s the youngest one on the team. We started talking on the phone every night and we’d stay on the phone for hours. One night he mentioned if I ever had a FWB and I told him no I don’t do that kind of stuff because I usually catch feelings and he said he felt the exact same way. Things seemed to be going good except I would always mention oh we’re just friends we’re just friends , even though it felt like more than that. One night he mentioned if we went on a so called date it would just be talking in his car because he didn’t have a plan ( literally talking about it at 11pm and the ‘date would’ve been the next day) and I got upset because I took it as he wouldn’t want to take me on a date. And things went downhill from there. I asked him during that same phone call if he seen things going anywhere and he said no he didn’t, so I again got upset and asked him why he started talking to me then and when he lost interest, he said he really likes me and he’s very interested but hesitant confused with his life and with us, he said I always tell him I like him and am interested but then I always also say we are just friends. And he’s pretty much pulled back since then. We have talked here and there and just two nights ago he told me he’s talking to me with the intention of things progressing but right now he can’t say whether he wants something serious. To me is understandable because we’ve only been talking for about 2 week. I do not want a relationship right now either however I’d like to know that there is some intention there rather than I’m over here catching feelings and it’s nothing to him. Yesterday we talked but he was sending one word answers so I got frustrated and just told him I felt like he really didn’t care anymore and he said he did but he was just busy at work . And then texted me to have a nice night after he was off. Today we didn’t talk all day, so I called him around 4:00 pm and he answered and said he was hanging out with one of our coworkers if everything was okay. I told him yes it was and he said okay just let me know and we hung up . I haven’t heard from him since then.
