Husband refuses to talk about future/kids

I tried initiating a conversation about having kids whenever we’re ready. I’m personally not ready to have any, but I wanted to know what my husband’s stance on it was as of now. He said he didn’t want to talk about it, and after that point he just ignored everything else I said. This happens anytime I try to talk about anything deeper than surface level. We’ve also been married for five years. This kinda hurts me. I’ve never asked him before, as we married on the younger side. But now we’re at a point where I’d like to see what he thinks of our future. It feels as though he doesn’t think of it at all.
