Getting a dog?

So my husbands dog was sick almost all of my pregnancy and he passed away 3 days after our daughter was born. He’s never been the same after. He’s constantly in bad moods. He’s wanted a new dog in the past but I’ve been so scared to because of our baby. She’s now 7 months and I’m starting to consider it more. I’m still scared because it’s so hard to get her to nap and sleep and I’m worried if the dog starts barking it’ll be even worse. We also have plans to drive and do a lot this summer with her outside and I know if we had a dog we’d be stressed constantly trying to get home to take it out. I’m also scared of a new dog potentially hurting her. I’m planning to start babysitting too soon and I don’t like the idea of a dog around a bunch of other babies and kids. There’s so many things I’m worried about and I have pretty rough anxiety. I want to make my husband happy though and get him a dog. I’m unsure what to do
