Should I sack this whole thing off?
I went on a first date on Monday evening in London. I live two hours from London but want to move there and I had just attended an interview and a guy I met on bumble a few weeks ago asked if I would like to meet him afterwards. Weirdly, his office was just along from where I had my interview which was a nice coincidence.
And the date was nice and chilled. I felt so relaxed, didn’t feel crazy butterflies or anything but the convo flowed. He didn’t ask many personal questions to get to know me. He talked a lot and didn’t really ask me many questions but he was sweet. When I said I had never tried truffle before, he ordered me some truffle sauce to try.
He gave me a nice hug at the end of the date and said ‘let me know if you get that job. I can’t travel to your city anytime soon, but we can arrange something if you’re around this way. Text me when you get home safe.’
He texted me the next morning to say ‘hope you got home safe and got to work ok.’ I said ‘I did thanks, got home very late but it was worth it :)’. He replied ‘hope so.’ His texting is so dry and so many spelling mistakes when he does and he doesn’t text to chat. I think he only texts to set up dates. I don’t know whether to sack the whole thing off as surely he’d be texting to chat if he was interested or asking me when I can next come to London. He’s not said anything else over text since then
Or maybe I should let things develop naturally and healthily
