where does car seat go?

I have two toddlers that are in a forward facing car seat and i’m about to have a newborn. where would the newborns car seat and base go? is it safer by the door or in the middle? I think the middle is a little risky in case of accidents.

The middle is safest spot for any car seat. But it’s actually where you get the best install. 
And toddlers I hope they have maxed out of rear facing limits before turning forward facing. Like being 40-50lbs (usual limits for all car seat for the rear facing position) and being at least 40”.

Middle is safest, but depending on the size of the car, it may be hard to get the infant carseat in and out of the car if its sandwiched between two toddler carseats

Currently pregnant with my second and my daughters car seat is currently in this middle, it’s the safest. I came to this conclusion because while driving I was going through a 4 way(cars on my left and right had a stop sign but people going straight like I was had no stop sign), I was going 55MPH and this car decided last second to go as I was crossing the intersection. Their car was so close to mine if time stopped I could have reached out and touched their car…scary thing is they would have hit my daughter on the passenger side. I swerved so hard my wheels left the ground. That day I moved my daughter to the middle seat and have not moved her back since and I have the utmost anxiety about my children not being in the middle but with 2 kids I have no choice now. I shared this because you said middle probably wouldn’t be safest due to accidents. Either way with multiple kids one or the other will have to be behind driver or passenger.
