So I have been wanting to get matching tattoos with my mom. Her birthday is in August and mine is in July. I'm due in March so my baby will be about 5-7 months if we get the tattoo. Does breastfeeding affect on how your body takes the ink? Will it heal normally? Will the ink go to my milk? I have heard different answers from everyone so I'm just wondering if anything bad happened to those of you who have gotten a tattoo while breastfeeding. Do I need to pump and dump for a couple of days and give my baby formula/baby food for the first couple of days? Keep in mind, it's not going to be a big tattoo. No bigger than the size of my hand.
