Apartment help

I turned in an application for an apartment last Monday, like 10 minutes before it closed well it’s a week and it’s a new Monday. I just called and they had no clue what I was talking about they was like we need to contact rental people all this stuff. we have great rental credit etc and make well over 3x the rent so I’m not very sure why it’s taking so long. Does anyone know why or how long did it take for you it’s been about 4 business days
