Big baby induced?

Question

Has anyone gotten an induced because their baby is measuring big? We just had a scan at 27 weeks and my baby is already 3lbs and is just proportionally big, just trying to prepare myself if they might recommend getting induced because of his size. I’m going to ask my OB what they think on Wednesday but seeing if anyone else is in the same boat or if it’s not that common.

I was induced with my first because they said she was going to be big. I was induced at 39 weeks and she was 7lbs 4oz

I got induced 5 days early because they were concerned about my daughter’s shoulders getting stuck because she was measuring big. The induction was a long process, and she came out a large baby (8lb 12oz) but proportionate so no issues. I’ve already discussed this with my doctor about not inducing again just because baby is big. It’s so much better for your body to go into labor naturally I think. That being said, it depends on your size and baby’s size.
