IBS symptoms? (TMI)

Any ladies have? What were your symptoms?

I have very bad pain in my lower abdomen it feels like serious gas but i also feel like a tightening or twinges...on and off ill have cases where i NEED to go to the washroom , it'll be either diarrhea or loose stool. Theres been times where ive wiped and had mucus in the toilet paper...and times where i can see my food particles in my stool. However today, ive noticed a red chunk in my stool...and ive noticed it before as well but i didnt think much of it. The pain is under my belly button and its hurtttttts sooo much!!! To the point i felt so sick and nauseous like i couldnt breathe... I'd just like to know if any ladies experienced this or similar...i will be going to the dr on jan 4th....

I'm sure I have IBS too as sometimes I can feel quite windy/bloated or I can go constipated to the other way where I do have to go to the toilet straight away

Sounds like IBS symptoms but can also be symptoms of a lot of other things so doctor will probably take blood and stool samples to check.
I have IBS and found cutting back on caffeine and eliminating gluten and dairy helped me a bit. I was also going to try a low FODMAP diet but I got pregnant and it made pretty much all my symptoms go away.

I am 33 and have been diagnosed with Crohns Disease (IBD) since I was 16. The symptoms you have described do sound typical of IBS/IBD...  I used to keep a food diary which I found useful to iliminate 'trigger' foods so I knew what to cut out, a bit trial and error I am afraid but worked for me in the early days. Stress is also a big contributing factor too. Make sure you get to the Drs. They will probably do a stool sample and send you for bloods... Good luck and if you have any questions, I am by no means an expert but have lived with it for more than half my life so feel free to ask. 😊

I've been there. I got referred to a gastroenterologist to check it all out. Thought it might have been Crohn's disease but they just called it IBS. It flares up when I'm under stress or really anxious. Exactly like you're describing. I could visit the bathroom more than 12 times a day and sit there straining and having nothing come out but mucus and still feel the horrible cramping and urge to go. It's the worst.

I get really bloated almost instantly after eating, either constipation or diahriaa, pains in either the centre of my stomach or near my left ribcage and stomach twitches (if you put a object on my stomach it will move along with my twitches but this is a common my doctor said)
