How to make life.. easier?
Hey momma's. I need some help.
I have two wonderful kids (6yo and 1yo) and were expecting our 3rd in September. My husband works across the state monday-friday. I'm struggling especially the farther along I get. I'm also struggling with a handful of pregnancy induced health conditions including a subchorionic hematoma and a problem with my heart I'm currently waiting to see a cardiologist for. Pretty much I'm just exhausted constantly and unable to be on my feet for long periods of time.
My son (6yo) is diagnosed ADHD and medicated, we also suspect he may be on the autism spectrum. He's in first grade and is gone most of the day but I'm struggling keeping him entertained when he is home. We try to not allow a ton of screen time but he refuses to play independently in just about anyway and often plays too roughly with my 1yo toys. He does wonderful having tasks to complete and is super helpful but I'm struggling finding things for him. I also find myself very snappy at him from overstimulation and it's just not fair to him.
Bringing them outside or into stores is 10 billion times worse. My son throws fits in stores for toys/candy, he is constantly playing with things or his sister and talking to strangers. My daughter hates her car seat and being in strollers or carts and will scream and try to get out. My son has no sense of stranger danger and would rather talk to adults at the park and my daughter isn't walking independently yet and it hurts so badly to carry her around constantly so all we end up doing is swinging.
Lastly, meal times are extremely difficult. My kids aren't too picky but cooking has been really hard this pregnancy and we're trying to not have a lot of premade stuff as we are on a budget.
I genuinely feel like I'm just counting down till bedtime every day and I hate it. I want to value the time I get with my kids. Honestly I'm so scared for having a newborn on top of everything. I'm posting this anon because Im embarrassed that it seems to be so easy for everyone. I genuinely am trying so hard. Any advice, tips, even constructive criticism is welcome
